If you are just getting started on coupon shopping at Rite Aid, you will want to check this out! Rite Aid is one of the best places to shop to get the items you need for less! They have quite a few different programs in place that helps us save the most amount of money. In this post, we will cover all the basics at Rite Aid to help you get the biggest bang for your buck.
The first thing you should know is that Rite Aid has a Wellness+ Card. If you are wanting to coupon at Rite Aid, you MUST HAVE this card. You will not get the sale price if you do not give the cashier this card at checkout. The Wellness+ card also tracks your points for you and once you reach a certain amount of points, you get a discount. The first discount will come when you hit 500 points. This will get you the Silver discount which is 10% off anything that is regular price.
Once you hit 1000 points, then you have the Gold discount and will be able to get 20% off the regular price. The biggest thing you need to know is that if something is on sale, these discounts won’t change that price. (This includes items that are BOGO FREE and BOGO 50% off). You will get the lowest price you can whether that be the sale price or the shelf price with the discount, but not both.
Besides Video Value store coupons, Rite Aid also has In-ad store coupons. These coupons come in the Sunday ad from the newspaper and say Manufacturer’s Coupon on the top which is kind of silly really. Sometimes this is confusing because you can’t combine two manufacturer coupons.
However, if you look at the barcode on the coupon, it starts with an RC which makes it a store coupon and NOT a manufacturer coupon despite what it says. You CAN stack these In-ad Rite Aid Store Coupons with a manufacturer coupon for additional savings! You can see in the image above that the bar code does in fact start with RC49, so it can be stacked with a manufacturer coupon.
This is what the scenario would look like if you had this in-ad store coupon and a separate manufacturer coupon to use together:
Buy (1) Loreal Excellence Hair Color, $8.99
Use $2/1 Manufacturer Coupon
AND $2 In-Ad Store Coupon
Final Price: $4.99!
Like I said earlier, shopping at Rite Aid is one of my favorite stores. You will get all kinds of amazing deals to help you make the most of your money!
